What is the SCRIP Tuition-Credit Program?

It is a program that generates funds for families to earn credit towards their tuition obligation at Morrison Zion Lutheran school by using gift cards to shop at places you go to every day. The list of local and national retailers includes gas stations, grocery, department and specialty stores; fast food and fine dining; entertainment and travel. Our order form has many retailers but a full list can be found at www.glscrip.com. The credits earned by purchase of script are split 50/50; 1/2 of the revenue will stay in the scrip program for expenses and distribution to Living Savior Lutheran School an 1/2 will be credited to a families tuition account.

Example: the revenue from Kwik Trip is 9%. The purchase of $100 of Kwik Trip script will generate $9 in revenue. $4.50 would be credited to the families account and $4.50 would go to the needs of MZL scrip program and church.

How Do I start?

Contact the scrip coordinator and fill out an enrollment form and start ordering scrip gift cards. Scrip Order Forms are available at school, in the basement of church, and are attached below. The scrip program accepts checks written to “MZLS Scrip” or cash.

When can I order?

Scrip orders are typically collected on the second Sunday of every month. the school and church letter will also list order dates. Some gift cards are available immediately. If cards need to be ordered they are typically available for distribution the following Sunday.

As a grandparent, can I earn tuition credits for my grandchild(ren)’s family?

Yes, fill out an enrollment form and designate which family you would like the revenue to be credited to.

Another option is to have the revenue earned go towards financial aid or completely to the scrip program to be used for expenses and distribution to the church. When filling out an enrollment form please check one of the options listed at the bottom of the form.
